Welcome to my blog! My name is
Logan Brown, and I am a senior marketing major in the Terry College of Business
at the University of Georgia. I am thrilled to finally be creating my first
blog, and I’m excited to see how it goes! As a student at the University of
Georgia, I am very fortunate to be living in the wonderful city of Athens, GA.
Athens has so much to offer, from the historic UGA campus, to the lively music
scene, to the delicious cuisine. If you have not had the chance to visit
Athens, GA, I strongly recommend that you do. One of my favorite things about
the city are the highly talked about, mouthwatering, and unique restaurants
that make up Athens. In addition to being a student at the University of
Georgia, I am part of the millennial generation that heavily uses social media.
Some people may believe that social media is way overused (and I can agree with
that statement sometimes), but I look at social media as an outlet to express
your passions, promote businesses, and share experiences with the world. For
this blog, I am excited to combine my passions for Athens restaurants and
social media, to bring you a guide to the wonderful city that I have grown to
love.

The first restaurant I want to
share with y’all is one of my all time favorites: Trappeze Pub. I frequent
Trappeze very often and it never disappoints. This past weekend, I went with
one of my best friends to celebrate the start of the school year and because we
had withdrawals from not having Trappeze throughout the summer. It is located
in the downtown area on the corner of W Washington Street and N Hull Street, so
it’s in a prime location for people to visit. Trappeze specializes in craft
beer and excellent pub fare, but I am not a fan of beer, so I usually stick to
their delicious food and wine. My friend and I usually order the same thing
each time we go: the quinoa salad with grilled chicken, and sweet potato fries
with raspberry ketchup to share. The quinoa salad is filled with mixed greens,
colorful quinoa, sweet potatoes, walnuts, and a delicious and light dressing.
It’s always a favorite among many. Now the sweet potato fries; they are out of
this world good. Just the right amount of crispiness is mixed with the perfect
amount of salty and sweet to satisfy your craving and have you ordering them
every time you go. Once you try them, you’ll know what all the praise is about.
Needless to say, Trappeze knows how to combine perfect flavors and uniqueness
to create delicious and satisfying meals.

Trappeze not only knows how to
create yummy plates, but they also get it right when it comes to keeping up
with the ever-changing digital world. Starting with their website, you can see
how professional the business is and how they attract consumers from this media
outlet. They have a great gallery of photos, news that they have been featured
in, map directions, the food and drink menu, an online reservation system, and
last but not least, the links to their social media sites. Many people may hear
about a restaurant and want to know more, so they instantly Google it and land
on their website. From the website, you can see the social media icons at the
bottom right hand corner of the page, easily accessible for all ages. Trappeze
has accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Personally, I follow Trappeze
on Instagram because they have awesome pictures and feature their extremely
unique food specials. I haven’t tried it yet, but I am always interested in
seeing their posts about their “BeerBQ Sandwiches”. One sandwich they created a
few weeks ago was topped with pickled peaches and of course, came with one of
their famous beers. The “BeerBQ” series is a great way that Trappeze is using
their creativity in the kitchen and a catchy hashtag to keep
their customers looking out for the newest BBQ combination. All three of their
social media outlets showcase the same information and photos, so no matter
what outlet you
